Indian railway has given a big boost to passengers’ safety by removing all unmanned railway crossings across the country. This was a work-in-progress since last decade and got a big push in 2018-19.

Unmanned crossings, apart from being a matter of inconvenience to general public, were also notorious for mishaps. But all that is behind us now.

From last couple of years, Railway has been putting safety at the core of its guiding principle and data on ground stands testimony to that. Removal of unmanned crossings and increased focus on infrastructure development like Railway Under Bridge (RUB) and Railway Over Bridge (ROB) has started paying dividends. Last year saw the lowest ever train accidents in the last decade.

Our stand

It is definitely a great feat and whole Railway team deserves hoot for the same. Besides saving many precious lives, this will also help to boost passengers’ confidence in the national carrier.
