Indicating its tough stance in the aftermath of the heinous attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, administration today announced to withdraw the security of five separatists effectively Sunday evening.
As per the order issued by the administration, besides security other facilities like vehicle etc also stand withdrawn. Earlier, security cover for the separatists was scaled down but as per new order, it has been completely removed.
As per orders, security stands withdrawn for Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Lone, Hashim Qureshi and Shabir Shah. The administration will also review the security and facilities given to other separatists and will act accordingly.
The indication to remove the security was first given by home minister Mr. Rajnath Singh during his Kashmir visit on Friday.
“Some elements in Jammu and Kashmir have links with the ISI and terrorist organisations. Their security should be reviewed.”
